About the role
Role Overview
Provide legal opinions and guidance to internal stakeholders on business transactions and operational matters, identify legal risks, support contractual issue resolution, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. The role also covers legal recovery proceedings involving secured and unsecured loan portfolios, including matters under the SARFAESI Act.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal opinions and guidance to internal stakeholders on business transactions and operational matters.
- Identify legal risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Support business teams in resolving contractual and other legal issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Handle legal recovery cases across secured and unsecured loan portfolios.
- Initiate and monitor recovery proceedings under applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage recovery cases involving secured assets under the SARFAESI Act.
Qualifications & Experience
- LLB degree from a recognised university.
- Enrollment with the Bar Council is an added advantage.
- Two to six years of experience in legal recovery, collections legal, banking legal, NBFC legal, or litigation management.
- Experience handling retail, SME, commercial vehicle, loan against property (LAP), mortgage, or secured-asset recovery cases is preferred.
