Role Overview
The internship focuses on financial products, regulatory reporting, accounting treatment, and compliance with local regulatory requirements and accounting standards. The role combines financial-services knowledge with business analysis, documentation, reporting validation, and support for automation and client projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand financial products and their impact on reporting requirements, financial-services operations, balance sheets, and profit and loss.
- Work on accounting treatment for different financial products in accordance with local regulatory reporting requirements and accounting standards.
- Discuss business requirements with client business users and document requirements for relevant functional areas.
- Assist in preparing business requirements documents, functional specifications, workflow documents, and detailed data-mapping sheets.
- Assist in designing automation solutions for data flows, regulatory reporting, and management information systems in line with business requirements.
- Evaluate changes in regulatory requirements and help ensure that client business processes support compliance.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and address their concerns in a timely manner.
- Validate regulatory reports, ensure data quality, and support system integration testing and user acceptance testing for reporting outputs.
- Identify process improvements and help resolve queries.
- Communicate project updates and prepare status reports covering progress, challenges, and milestones.
- Manage the day-to-day execution of assigned client projects.
- Develop an understanding of clients' businesses, strategic priorities, industry dynamics, and market conditions, and recommend or implement improvements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Background or interest in finance and regulatory affairs.
